How many calls is your Google Maps ranking costing you?
Enter your search volume, close rate and average job value to see the calls and revenue you could gain by moving into the top three on Google Maps.
Short answer
Multiply your monthly local searches by the share of searchers who click your position, then by the share of clicks that call and the share of calls that buy. The gap between your current position and a top-three Map Pack spot is the revenue you're leaving to competitors — this calculator does the math with every assumption visible and editable.

A rough estimate is fine — check Google Keyword Planner or your ads account.

How the calculation works
- Clicks at a position = monthly searches × click share for that position
- Calls = clicks × the share of clicks that become calls
- Customers = extra calls × your close rate
- Revenue = extra customers × average customer value
Why the top three matter so much
For most local searches, Google shows three businesses on a map above everything else. Mobile searchers can call straight from those listings without visiting a website. That's why moving from the organic results into the Map Pack — or from #3 to #1 — changes call volume far more than a small ranking change elsewhere on the page.
Make the estimate more accurate
- Use your real close rate from your CRM or job-management software.
- Use average revenue per customer, including repeat work if customers come back.
- Replace the click-share assumptions with data from your call tracking once you have it.

Where do the click-share numbers come from?
They are starting assumptions for typical local searches, where the three Map Pack results receive most clicks and positions below them receive far fewer. They are not measured data for your market, so you can edit every value to match your own analytics or call tracking.
How do I find my monthly search volume?
Use Google Keyword Planner, the search terms report in your Google Ads account, or your Google Business Profile performance report, which shows how many people found your profile through search.
Is this estimate a guarantee?
